A few things:
Favorite recipes I've tried lately: Leek-vegetable fritters, salty-sweet peanut butter cookies, apple strudel worthy of an Oktoberfest celebration, the best banana bread (with coconut!).
The Dog Stars by Peter Heller - Loved! Favorite book this year, so far.
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling - For when you want to sit alone and laugh to yourself like a cray woman
Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed - For daydreams about bear attacks, scenic vistas, bigfoot, hiking with a llama.
The rest of my 2012 reading list. What are you reading?
Fall make list: wool-wrapped branches, apple block prints, natural room fresheners, an autumn scarf. Oh, an a basket full of these.
Laughing: Ugly-ass pots, a joke, truth, "Mom?"
My buying finger is hovering around "add to cart."
Happy weekend! I turned 30 on Wednesday, and to celebrate I've been eating a lot of hamburgers. The party continues, two days later ... tonight we're going to a Halloween-themed romp at the Georgetown Drive-in. They're playing the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Frankenweenie! Yaya! Welp, time to pop up a few kettle's worth of popcorn, so we can eat it hobo-style from a trash bag. Have you been to the drive-in? It's the jam.
