The first day of fall is tomorrow, and while we'll be enjoying a beautiful Indian summer this weekend, before long the cut-off shorts I've worn nearly every day since the temps hit 80 will be tossed in the back of my closet for their winter slumber. (Yes, tossed. I'm organizationally challenged.) We'll swap our bottles of Oberon for chocolaty stouts, get serious about using the oven again, and say so long to the lazy days spent in hammocks and lawn chairs, or rooting for treasure in our comically over-run garden bed.
Here are a few photos from the past few months. Spoiler: there will be many instagram pictures of dogs and food (mostly frozen treats). I basically spent three months eating popsicles, petting dogs, and taking pictures of my shoes. I'm OK with that.

At the beginning of summer, I make one pair of cut-offs, and wear them every day I don't wear dresses.
Ate my weight in paletas. It's never enough.
Buds! There's Brandy (top two), and that's Karla, Holly, and Emily by the campfire.

Sometimes people have babies, and then they let us hold them. It's pretty cool.
