  1. These are great!

Can I ask what kind of photo editing program you all use? I'm in the market for a good one, since I'm using crappy free Picasa right now. Well, it's not that crappy, but not that great either.

  2. Well. We don't usually do too much editing, but if we do, we just use the iPhoto program that came on my Macbook. Also, we pay for pro flickr accounts and the editing program is actually pretty good! Except it won't really edit high res photos for printing purposes, just web. It's great for blogging purposes though. The rounded corners were done on flickr.

I'm a graphic designer for my company, and I really like using Photoshop. I highly recommend it - or even Photoshop Elements if you are just wanting to touch up your photos. Once you get down the basics, it's awesome. I taught myself how to do everything by just reading books and tutorials online. If you are going to pay money for it, I can't really think of a comparable program. There is a freeware photo editing program that a lot of people like called GIMP but I haven't used it.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Also, if you like these, you can take a look at Kurt's favorites on flickr. There are some neat ones.

  4. Those are great, too!

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll probably get Elements, since I've heard good things about it, for people who are basically hobby photographers. I'm ready to go a bit more in depth, I think. I would love love love to get Photoshop CS, but maybe when I have a spare thousand sitting around. : )

    Thanks, Johanna!
