A baby shower.

My brother and sister-in-law are pregnant with their first beeb! A tiny podling, with enormous feet and an extraordinary talent for making goofy faces, no doubt. I designed these baby shower invitations for them. What do you think?

Seems like there are lots of new babymoms this season. I thought I'd share my design, in case anyone is in the market for baby shower invitations. For those so inclined, download away!

Somehow all of this baby business has pushed me to the remote outer reaches of my crafting ability. I started sewing a quilt. A baby quilt. I've barely sewn on a button before, but with help from my very talented friend, Heather, I think I'm getting the hang of it. Quilting sort of reminds me of exercise in the way that it feels totally tedious and grueling while I'm doing it, but once I start to see some progress ... how exciting! I feel so accomplished and inspired. Right this very moment, there are quilt squares dancing in my head. I can't believe I sewed. I'm sewing!

Here are my fabric swatches. Pretty cute, don't you think?
